Holly is a Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT). She attended Yorkville University to complete a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. In addition to her counselling practice, Holly is also employed as the Mental Health Program Director at the Tri-County Women’s Centre, where she supports community based mental health initiatives. She also works with a local transition home, providing support to women and children who are fleeing domestic violence. These roles have deepened her understanding of gender-based trauma and systemic issues. Holly is also a member of the Queer and Trans Therapists of Nova Scotia (QTTNS).

Holly aims to offer a safe, compassionate space for those dealing with the effects of traumatic life experiences, anxiety, low mood, ADHD, and general life difficulties. She also has experience supporting individuals navigating existential anxiety, boundaries and codependency, emotional dysregulation, and gender and sexuality. Holly utilizes therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindful SelfCompassion, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to tailor therapy to the specific needs of the individuals she works with.

Holly recognizes that it takes courage, strength, and vulnerability to open up to a mental health professional. She considers it an honour and a privilege to hold a safe, compassionate space for her clients as they deepen their self-understanding and nurture self-compassion.
